"Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; [and] them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body." HEBREWS 13:3

Bro. Branham said:"God is merciful to us, isn't He? We American people don't know how well off we are. That's right. To know that the need of this world, how they're in need. And yet we have plenty and... [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] No feeling. He said, "I was hungry; you didn't feed Me. I was naked; you didn't clothe Me. I was in prison; you wouldn't visit Me. When were You, Lord? Insomuch as you have done unto the least of these, My little ones, you have done it unto Me." That right?"

"Jesus said at that day He would separate the people like the sheep and the goats, and He would say to the goats, "Stand on the left side," and to the sheep, "Stand on the right side." And He said to the goats, "Depart from Me, because I was hungry and you didn't feed Me. I was in prison, and you did not visit Me. I was naked, and you clothed Me not. I was thirsty, and you gave Me no drink. I was sick, and you didn't visit Me. So depart from Me." And on the sheep, He said, "I was hungry and you fed Me. I was naked and you give Me clothing. I was sick and you ministered to Me." And notice, don't fail to get this, church. Keep this in your heart forever. It was so unconsciously done. The people don't do it for a line of duty. A man that gives you something or other because he ought to do it, a man that feeds you because he ought to do it, he's got a selfish idea. It should be your very life, your very action.

It was so surprising to these sheep that they said, "Lord, when were You hungry and we wouldn't feed You? When were You hungry, and we fed You? When were You naked, and we give You clothes? When were You thirsty, and we give You drink? When were You sick, and we ministered to You?" It was so automatically, out of love, it's just their life lived in them.
God, let the people see what Calvary did for us. So automatically, "When were You, Lord. We never knew that."
Look what Jesus turned and said, "Insomuch as you have done unto these, you did it unto Me." Unselfish life, not the second thought, not to think about it; but you are so dead to the things of this world, and so alive in Christ, and so walking on the highway, that these things are just an automatic thing. You just do it.

Now, I say, "When the Lord would--the Lord want me to do that." It's not that. You're just part of Him. His Spirit's in you, and you act the way He acted. Do get it. "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the way of death. Not all that saith Lord, Lord, shall enter in, but they that do the will of My Father," just from their hearts, just freely.
Now, that day at Calvary paid that price so we could be that way."

""When the Son of Man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory: And before Him shall be gathered all nations; and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: and He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on His left. Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungered, and ye gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink; I was a stranger and ye took Me in: Naked and ye clothed Me: I was sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and ye came unto Me. Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we Thee an hungered and fed Thee? or thirsty and gave Thee drink: When saw we Thee a stranger, and took Thee in? or naked, and clothed Thee? Or when saw we Thee sick, or in prison, and came unto Thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily, I say unto you, In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me. Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungered, and ye gave Me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took Me not in: Naked, and ye clothed Me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited Me not: Then shall they also answer Him saying, Lord, when saw we Thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison and did not minister unto Thee? Then shall He answer them saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of the least of these, ye did it not unto Me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."

"Then I think of God speaking to Joseph. After he was taken up, he was the blessed child. There's why I believe that men are borned in this world to do certain things. Joseph could be nothing else but a prophet, for he was borned a prophet. God foreordained Joseph to be a prophet. No matter how much cursings and kickings he got around, he was God's prophet. He had to be. Gifts and callings are without repentance.

Notice. Then he was taken up, supposingly, out of the pit to have been dead, like Christ was raised up. And he set at Pharaoh's right-hand. When he was in his prison, like Christ with His cross, there's one thief lost and one saved; so was there in Joseph, one butcher and the baker, one was lost and one was saved. Joseph foretold them what would be their destination, and so did Jesus at the cross."

"And may that worst prisoner there is in the building, that sinner, far off, prisoner of...?... Like an eagle that would beat his wings till his weary eyes would fall back in the cage, he's captured. He's a heavenly bird, soars high in the air, and here he is caged up, looking up to the heavens, to where he once could be and be free. Then to see him fall back exhausted from beating his wings. That's a horrible sight, but, oh, what a much greater horrible sight it is to look down these streets tonight and see men and women who are created to be sons and daughters of God, to see them running into booze joints and honky-tonks, beating their head and wings against the bars, trying to find relief, when they ought to be soaring into heaven by the Holy Spirit. Oh, what prisoners, Lord. May something be done tonight that'll cause them to look up and say, "Lord Jesus, unlock this prison; let me spread forth my wings, fly away from this place." Grant it, Lord.

"May every person in here that's bound by sense-bound existence, only trusting on what they can see, hear, taste, feel, or smell; may they fall away from that tonight, go up into the realms of the higher. And may this church literally rock with the power of God."

Bro. Paul received the Word of the Day, Jesus Christ, in prison in California in 1969. Many of the saints at the Word of the Day Tabernacle are former inmates of various prisons in the U.S. and abroad. Around the world there are men (and women) who have embraced the Message through this ministry which is over 30 years old. The Bible records that many of the Seed of God were once prisoners. From Joseph to John, the Baptist. From Paul and Peter........even until now, God has had Seed in bonds.

Every man is in a prisonhouse, some in more than one. This body of flesh is a prisonhouse from which Christ will one day free us...."For flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God" This world of sin is a prisonhouse from which Christ can set you free...."And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Denominations and made-man creeds are a prisonhouse.

Look at what Bro. Branham said, Christian friend:

LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.9
"Now let me say this here. I don't believe that God is calling only to the false church to repent. In this verse He is talking to His elect. They have some repenting to do, too. Many of His children are still in those false churches. They are those of whom it speaks in Ephesians 5:14, "Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light." To be asleep is not to be dead. These are sleeping amongst the dead. They are out there in the dead denominations. They are floating along with them. God cries out, "WAKE UP! Repent of your folly." Here they are lending their influence, giving their time and their money, actually their very lives to these antichrist organizations, and all the while thinking it is all right. They need to repent. They must repent. They need to have a change of mind and turn toward truth."

Brother Branham, speaking of the Laodicean, Seventh Church Age, said: "Yes, this is the age that most needs to repent. But will it? Will it bring back the Word? Will it again enthrone the Holy Spirit in men's lives? Will it again revere Jesus as the ONLY Saviour? "

Every man and every woman...every boy or girl is in a prisonhouse. But the God of Heaven came down to be imprisoned on a cross at that place called Calvary to free the prisoners.

"When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
This shall be written for the generation to come:
and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
To declare the name of the LORD in Zion" Psalms 102:16-21

He set me free! Yes, He set me free.
He broke the bonds off prison for me!
I'm glory bound my Jesus to see.
Glory to God He set me free.

"He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation?" Isaiah 53:8

Here are some who do

(you may recognize some of them)

The church ministry in prison.

A picture of some of the brothers on the prison yard.

The Church at Jess Dunn with Bro. Forest, whose marvelous healing in the baptismal waters stirred a revival.

Completely paralyzed and bedfast for over three years Bro. Forrest obtained permission to be taken out to the yard services. Then, after believing the Word preached by Bro. Paul, and awaiting the baptismal to be held on Easter Sunday, he said to Bro. James, "You put me in the water and God will bring me out." James did...and God did. This miracle sparked a three year revival when he went to chapel service walking on his own, stood to testify and jumped into the air before hundreds of fellow convicts who had known his former condition. Bro. Forrest was 73 years of age when he was healed. He is now 79 and still walking on his own.
