About us

The Word of the Day Tabernacle is located for the present on the NW corner of 27th and Nesbitt in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where we have converted a garage for our use while we await further developments. Since we are a small church and many of our saints drive long distances to attend this arrangement, though crude and crowded, is working for us. Many of our saints are on 'extension' in other places throughout the globe. These are served by tape and email.

Our ministry and our primary purpose is one of missions. Though our church is small our outreach is large. We reach via email and Internet, and through our missionary trips, into nearly 100 countries. Our Paltalk broadcasts have reached around the world now for over four years.

We have a major missionary endeavor in Haiti where we work with over 100 preachers and pastors in some 40 churches. Our prison ministry reaches into three states and five prisons where we have established the message and trained pastors to carry on the work behind bars. We also reach into the foreign countries, even into Russia, with our prison effort. And, as you will see in the coming weeks as our sight grows we have workers in the Dominican Republic, Africa, the Virgin Islands, etc. Please be in prayer for this outreach as we do our part to "go ye into all the world and preach the gospel".

Bro. Branham said:"But God's just now loosening up the church everywhere, getting in order now so He can get into the rapture, got to give it rapturing faith before it can go in the rapture.

The people are in the spirit of the last days, just like they was in the days of Noah, eating, drinking, marrying, giving in marriage, unconcerned, don't care, walk around, and anything else. And these American people is the worst on the face of the earth: heady, high-minded, incontinent, fierce, and despisers, a know-it-all. If there's any place in the world... With, my Bible over my heart, and God knowing that I--looking down on me and know I may have to stand before Him before morning... If I had to say so, the place needs missionaries worse than any place in the world is the U.S.A., the United States of America. The greatest bunch of heathens that I know of anywhere is in America. "Heathen" means "unbeliever."

Oh, they believe theology. They're so calloused and drug back till you can't speak to them in no way. I can take a man out there, never heard of God, worshipping an idol, and do more with him in five minutes than you can do with a fellow that professes to be a Christian, an old mossback something that's hung along and had a lot of this embalming fluid, and jerked into his veins. Puts me in the mind of one of them old cold morgues down here somewhere, like an undertaker establishment. That's right."

In another place he said: "Why, the United States is combed over and over and over by so many evangelists, until it's just burnt territory. That's the truth. America has absolutely sinned away its day of grace. You mark it down on a book. You'll never have a universal revival in America. It passed that about three years ago. {which would be the year 1956, since this quote is from 1959...Bro. Paul} It'll never be a revival. Some of you young people, mark my word down for that. There'll never be a nationwide revival, no more, like the Billy Sunday days and so forth. You'll have little spurt ups, like that, till Jesus comes, but it'll never be.

God has turned from it and gone to the foreign nations. There's where the people come. One sign from the Lord done; thousands will run to the altar of heathens. And it can be done over and over to this bunch of Americans, that's been taught this way, that way, and all confused, and never stop to look in their Bible."

At the Word of the Day, we realize that this nation which has had the Message for forty years is "burnt territory" and therefore reach out to the foreign nations. And God has blessed that effort beyond all that we could ever have foreseen.

There's a call comes ringing o'er the restless waves,
Send the Light! Send the Light!
There are souls to rescue, there are souls to save
Send the Light! Send the Light!

Send the Light, the blessed Gospel Light! Let is shine from shore to shore!
Send the Light, the blessed Gospel Light! Let it shine forevermore!

Bro. Branham said: "That's the messenger of the last days, the evening Light, is first find that Church (Where will they believe the Message?), hunt it. Can you read what I'm talking about? Hunt where that Church is that'll even let you come in, that won't close the door in your face. And then when you do there, then you've found character. Now if she will stand still long enough to tell her how that Bride's got to be dressed... She's got to be clothed. Stand still."

"The evening Lights, the Bible said, would shine in the last day. The evening Light is the same Light in the west, that was the same Light that was in the east. And the same Light that shined in the east, that brought forth the first church that the Romans cut down by their--their pagan worship, and so forth; in the evening Light is the same Light. Now, notice, the same Light...
And what's the evening Light come out for? What is the evening Light for? To restore. Whew. You get it? The evening Light is for the same purpose the morning Light was for: to restore what was cut down by the dark ages through Rome, God is going to restore by shining forth the evening Light. What? Restore the whole Word of God again, the full manifestation of Christ in His church. Everything that He did, just exactly the way He did, would be again in the evening Light. See what I mean? Oh, isn't that wonderful? And to know we're living right here to see It."

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the light shall not be clear, [nor] dark: it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, [that] at evening time it shall be light. Zechariah 14:6-7

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.

The Word is Light when It's vindicated. Until the Word, it--that's promised for the day is a-vindicated, then it is not Light. It cannot be. If God said, "Let there be light," and no sun come in existence, there's no sign of light. But when God said, "Let there be light," and there was light... When God promised a Messiah, Messiah come, then His Word was fulfilled and He was the Light of the hour. When He promised Noah, and He promised the others, and on down, they was the light of the hour.

And there's a Light of the hour today; that's Jesus Christ in the power of His resurrection, His Word that's promised for this day. "The works that I do, shall you also; greater than this will you do, for I go to the Father." Greater works, greater things than He did? You believe it? I believe it. It seems humble. It seems like it goes over the top of people's head. Look when He was here on earth. How could you do greater works? I've translated that, many times, "more," but the same thing. "Greater," He said in St. John 14:12, "greater works than this shall you do." SHALOM

That's the same thing it is with the Word of God. When the Word of God rises, all superstitions, denominational fanaticisms and things, spread away, and it shows it just exactly what it is. God in the beginning said, "Let there be light." The Light only comes, the true Light, the King Light, comes by the Word of God. God separated the light from the darkness in the beginning. And the Word of God made manifest always separates the Light from the darkness.
People can rise up with this, that, or the other; isms can rise, communism, fascism, and all other isms can rise; superstitions, cults, whatever it might be, might rise. But when that King Light of the Bible raises up, all superstitions and things... But, you see, we know it's there, but until It's a vindicated, proves Its Light, then we have no right to argue against That, because It shuts all other light out. Jesus said, "Let every man's word be a lie, and Mine be the Truth." His Word is superior over all man's words, over all, anything. His Word is Light.TURN.ON.THE.LIGHT

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak [this] to your shame. 1 Corinthians 15:34

But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

"And when that which is perfect has come, that which is in part shall be done away with." Paul said, "Though I speak with tongue of men and angels, and I do all these things here... But when that which is perfect is come..." Now, is there anything perfect but God? No, sir. Is God the perfect? In the beginning was the [Congregation replies, "Word."--Ed.] and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word's still God. See? All right. When that which is perfect is come, that which is in part is done away with.

I Corinthians 13 says this: "When that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away with." So all these little things of jumping up-and-down like a kid, trying to talk in tongues, and all these other things, when that which is perfect... And we do have today, by God's help, the perfect interpretation of the Word with Divine vindication. Then that which is in part is done away with. "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child; but when I become a man, I put away childish things." Amen.

While the trumpet is still sounding in America, She has missed her day of visitation. We still preach and offer grace and mercy to our friends and neighbors here in our own country, especially those in bonds, but we have set our sights and turned our efforts toward the foreign fields. Therefore, on these pages you will hear much more about our missions than about our local body.

God bless you and may the literal ressurection rejoice your heart finding you ready and about the Father's business.

Bro. Paul
